Oak Lawn – Uptown Meet and Greet

My thanks to Craig Reynolds and Key Kolb for hosting this evening’s terrific meet and greet! We had great questions about the Wright Amendment, protecting neighborhoods, cleaning up our city, and empowering the City Plan Commission.

A good point was brought up this evening: Will I, as a resident of East Dallas, be committed to representing the interests of Oak Lawn residents? My answer: Absolutely.

To get to know the area, I’ve been attending Love Field Environmental Advisory Committee meetings for two years, and I’ve attended zoning meetings, crime watch meetings, and neighborhood association meetings in Oak Lawn and surrounding areas. Our next council representative must represent all parts of our diverse district, and I am committed to working with residents of Oak Lawn to ensure their effective representation.
